Welcome, trainees! Drop and gimme twenty!
What is this place?
I created airforcebootcamp.net in response to the popularity of the essays I wrote about my time in the U.S.A.F., especially the horrifying and life-changing time I spent sweating away at Lackland. You’re in the command center for all things related to Basic Military Training.
What kind of things will I find here?
Anything and everything Air Force Boot Camp. The main pages are:
- Frequently Asked Questions: Dozens of common questions answered.
- My Time in Air Force Boot Camp: My personal memoirs from Lackland.
- My Time at Air Force Tech School: By popular demand.
Who’s The Author?
My name is Sam Alexander. Most of this content was originally published at my primary website, Xamuel.com, in 2009. I served in the USAF as a Weather Forecaster, stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona. I got out as an E-3, Airman 1st Class: my experience is that of a grunt, setting this webpage apart from all the pages written by officers and NCO’s. Trainees are grunts, so they should have a webpage written by a fellow grunt! Now I’m out of the service and working on a PhD in mathematics at the Ohio State University, TAing calculus on the side. You can email/contact me at: glowingfaceman@gmail.com. I’m also on Twitter as @XamuelA.
